Mar will discuss her participation in last September's Freedom Ride to
Washington, D.C., the purpose of which was to highlight the needs of
immigrants.
Mar, herself a Canadian native, tells "the story of immigrants living in the
shadows of this economy, necessary to shore it up but discounted and
exploited."
Mar will also relate her experiences to the current living wage movement
here in Southern California.
