Kucinich volunteers needed from all areas to join in our Banner Stencil Making Party Friday Jan 9th at 8:00 PM At the home of Larry Evans 626-798-3344 in Altadena (near Pasadena). This was previously announced as a banner making party but was changed to a banner stencil making party. We will be making stencils on acetate which will then be used to make Dennis Kucinich banners. The banners will be used as part of our Freeway Overpass banner campaign. We will promote this campaign to Kucinich volunteers accross the nation. Thousands of banners could be carried on freeway overpasses accross the nation on the same day. The attendees will be able to take templates with them to have their own banner making parties. We would like to get one or more people from each Kucinich Club to get all the clubs started with making banners. We also are planning to banners this weekend somewhere in the Pasadena area (to be determined). If you plan to come, call Eric Einem to find out what to bring: 714- 914-2796 ext.208 or 626-796-7325: Fine Point Permanent or Dry Erase Markers Scissors Exacto knives Carboard (to put under the acetate while cutting) Tape - To tape stencils on to acetate for tracing Ideas for banner phrases (use one from the list below or make up your own) Roll of Acetate at least 24" wide. Drinks or snacks The stencil can be used to trace the banner text onto a large cloth. Erika Willhite is a graphic artist and will be helping with the drawing of the letters. I will also bring 12" letter stencils to use for tracing onto acetate. The acetate can then be used to make multiple banners by tracing the letters onto a large peice of fabric and painting it with latex paint (or by spray painting with the template on the cloth). Instructions for making the banners will be provided.
