The Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office (LACPD) is the biggest in the nation, but has fallen behind compared to other public defender offices in providing quality -- and legally required -- representation to its noncitizen clients. This Public Forum will engage in an important and timely discussion about the issues withing the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office, what has been done so far, and what is still needed to reform LACPD in order to better serve the residents of Los Angeles County.
