Justin Chon is a filmmaker and actor. His second feature film, the provocatively titled “Gook,” https://youtu.be/mmXVeH1lDjk is a look at the 1992 riots in Los Angeles from the perspective of the Korean American community. The story is based on the experiences of Chon’s own family as store owners at that time. The film was released on August 18, 2017 and is now playing in theaters.
