Lois Lyons, Vice President of the American Humanist Association, will discuss how being a freethinker
opens one's mind to creative and rational thinking and that belief in the supernatural, which includes
belief in God as an authority figure, lessens one's development as a rational thinker. Mrs. Lyons is
the editor of Secular Nation, the magazine of Atheist Alliance International. From 6:30 to 8:00, Mrs.
Lyons will answer questions. A reception, with food, coffee, and water, will be held from 7 to 8.
