Russian Revolution Anniversary Forum

This October marks the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution that occurred in October 1917, when the workers and peasants of Russia over threw their ruling class and established a revolutionary socialist workers government. These events ignited 100 years of global revolution that help create the conditions and gave material, military and economic aid to liberation movements and revolutions in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The Cuban Revolution in 1959 was also another watershed moment of socialist revolution. This socialist government still stands today. Many of our comrades in WWP are returning from a 2 week trip to Cuba, and will be reporting back on their experiences.

This forum will bring together activists to discuss the history of the Russian and Cuban Revolutions and their role in support revolutionary movements across the world, including here inside the US.

100 Años de Revolución Mundial - Foro y Discusión Comunitaria

Este mes de octubre se cumple el 100 aniversario de la Revolución Rusa, ocurrida en octubre de 1917, cuando los obreros y campesinos de Rusia arrojaron a su clase dominante y establecieron un gobierno obrero socialista revolucionario. Estos acontecimientos encendieron 100 años de revolución global que ayudaron a crear las condiciones y brindaron ayuda material, militar y económica a los movimientos de liberación ya las revoluciones en África, Asia y América Latina.

La Revolución Cubana en 1959 fue también otro momento decisivo de la revolución socialista. Este gobierno socialista sigue en pie hoy. Muchos de nuestros compañeros en WWP están regresando de un viaje de 2 semanas a Cuba, y estarán informando sobre sus experiencias.

Este foro reunirá a activistas para discutir la historia de las revoluciones rusa y cubana y su papel en el apoyo a los movimientos revolucionarios en todo el mundo, incluyendo aquí dentro de los EE.UU.
