Community Conversations: The Challenges of Trump's America

7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Valley Beth Shalom

Encino, CA 91436

Two of the most thoughtful pundits on the American scene - Peter Beinart and David Frum - will discuss the implications of Trump and Trumpism for America and the American Jewish community. A first-time dialogue between these two thinkers moderated by VBS's Rabbi Ed Feinstein is a rare opportunity to learn about where we are and what we can do.

David Frum is a senior editor at the Atlantic. From 2001 to 2002 he served as speechwriter to and special assistant to President George W. Bush. He is the author of eight books, one of which, Dead

Right, was described as "the smartest book written from inside the American conservative movement."

Peter Beinart is a contributor to the Atlantic, a senior columnist at The Forward, a CNN political commentator and a professor at City University of New York. He is the author of three books. He is a graduate of Yale and a Rhodes scholar. He served as the editor of The New Republic from 1999-2006.
