DESCRIPTION:
Monthly meeting of the LA Greens. We meet regularly the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Peace Center. Anyone and everyone is welcome, the meetings are free.

Join us as we follow up on the tremendous postive effects of Peter Camejo's Gubernatorial campaign. Bring along a friend or two and introduce them to the Green Party! www.losangelesgreens.org

1) Camejo participated in six debates -- the first time a third party has been included in televised debates for a statewide office.

2) Camejo was viewed as the winner of many debates and perceived by everyone as a serious candidate with real solutions to California problems. He shattered preconceived notions about who Greens are.

3) Camejo spoke to the largest audience ever for a Green candidate. The day after debate, SFGate polling found him the "winner" -- 32% of the

public. The LA Times poll showed that among Democrats -- 25% found him to be the winner compared with 13% for Bustamante.

4) Attempts by the League of Women Voters and corporate media outlets to keep Peter out of the final two debates failed as thousands of letters

were sent to the sponsors -- a total of nearly 20,000 letters when through the votecamejo.org website -- 2,000 to each sponsor.
