NOlympic Day
Sunday, June 25 at 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Sycamore Grove Park 4700 N Figueroa St, Los Angeles, California 90031
Every year, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) celebrates ‘Olympic Day’ to promote “the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect.” But true to the con artists of the IOC, it’s not just a day — it’s a month. So we’re taking one from their page and throwing our own day, NOlympic Day. We’ll gather in Sycamore Grove Park with our coalition partners, volunteers and curious members of the community to provide the critical feedback LA's bid for the Olympics has avoided, highlighting how the Games will inspire wide-ranging human rights’ violations and the forfeiture of our city to the interests of contractors, developers, media corporations, and the special interests who designed the bid.
Bring a frisbee or a football and come out to celebrate the communal power of sports - without the corporate interests that seek to threaten our city.
