Join us on Saturday, June 17th and learn how to organize within your community, conduct an effective meeting with elected officials, and start building relationships with councilmembers and staffers.

Persuading those with legislative power is one of the most powerful skills an activist can have- and can mean the difference between success and failure in activist campaigns.

The Leadership Training Workshop is an advocacy skills building class to train activists to increase their communication and lobbying tactics to deliver their progressive message/campaign in a convincing and engaging way that will more likely lead to legislators adopting your proposal. Lobbying is how local citizens influence public policy and bring about systemic social changes.

In this workshop, you will learn how to develop a strategic agenda, roles at the meetings, who to contact to schedule a meeting, and much more.
