This day will be a celebration of the indigenous lives on this land, present and past, in place of Columbus day symbolizing colonialism and genocide. The special hearing at for the Indigenous People's Day motion will be held in the general council chambers at 6pm. This is the final hearing before the motion is likely put up for a vote in June by the full council.
