NoDAPL, Wells Fargo - Divest for Families!

Friday, May 12 at 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM PDT

L.A. City Hall Council Chambers

200 N Spring St, Los Angeles, California 90012

THIS FRIDAY, we're putting FAMILY first. We're calling on mothers, fathers, grandparents, children!!! Come and join the movement as we collectively stand up to fight for future generations!

Deliver a one-minute public comment in front of city councilmembers. We need the voices of kids and families to demand our city INVEST in humanity and our planet.

WHERE: 10AM ROOM 340, JOHN FERRARO COUNCIL CHAMBER

200 NORTH SPRING STREET, LOS ANGELES, CA 90012

The financial decisions of City Council directly impacts our communities, our families, and environment. The City has a direct responsibility to move our taxpayer money into ethical banks that help not harm the people.

We refuse to have our public funds in corrupt financial institutions.

From targeting the elderly, immigrants and ethnic minorities, financing of the Dakota Access Pipeline, and numerous lawsuits for consumer fraud and illegal foreclosures, Wells Fargo has proven they are NOT an institution that values the wellbeing of our communities.

We are now in a critical moment that will affect the future for ALL LA residents. We demand Los Angeles divest from Wells Fargo for the continual atrocities they have conducted on our community members. We want accountability for our public funds.

Together, with public pressure, we CAN force our city to prioritize the needs of the community and place PEOPLE AND PLANET before profit.

------

This co-occupation is a peaceful demonstration. We encourage civic engagement, and open dialogue between elected officials and citizens in a shared public space.

We are fighting for water. We are fighting for indigenous rights. We are fighting for ALL people victimized by Wells Fargo?s corrupt banking practices. We stand united to say NO MORE. We want a future that is fair and just. We demand a financial system that works for the benefit of our communities, our earth, and the common good.
