URGENT!!! WE'RE UNDER A DEADLINE!!! Pack the General Council meeting this Friday to demand LA City Council schedule the divestment motion on the Budget and Finance Committee agenda by NEXT WEEK!

We need your support to co-occupy the council chambers this Friday! City Council must take immediate action NOW- and stand in solidarity with Standing Rock and all people affected by Wells Fargo's unethical banking practices. It's time the City move to #DivestLA!

MEETING AT ROOM 340, JOHN FERRARO COUNCIL CHAMBER

Public comment is available for those who fill out the request before the start. Speakers are limited to 1 minute.

This co-occupation is a peaceful demonstration. We encourage civic engagement, and open dialogue between elected officials and citizens in a shared public space.

We are fighting for water. We are fighting for indigenous rights. We are fighting for ALL people victimized by Wells Fargo’s corrupt banking practices. We stand united to say NO MORE. We want a future that is fair and just. We demand a financial system that works for the benefit of our communities, our earth, and the common good.

Watch us live! City Council meetings are broadcast live on cable television Channel 35 and on the internet at: HTTPS://WWW.LACITY.ORG/YOUR-GOVERNMENT/AUDIOVIDEO/COUNCIL-MEETING-VIDEO.
