(correcting some late-night editing, the title has been corrected from LAPD to LA Policing) Also, send some of the better side of LA to Genoa by demanding the release of the remaining Genoa Prisoners (read that link) [ Read about LA's Sherriffs | Read how to help speed the release | Genoa report-back and call for support ]  Police Suppress, Activists SueThis Thursday at 10:30 am, activist groups and coalitions held a press conference regarding their lawsuit against the LAPD suggesting the PD's behavior surrounding the Democratic National Convention and the Oct.22nd March Against Police Abuse was violent and illegal and that the tactics employed supressed constitutionally sanctioned protest activity. Groups involved in the suit are the National Lawyers Guild, D2K, the LA Mumia Coalition, th ACLu and the October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality.
