The "War" in Iraq has entered a new phase as the might-makes-right crowd claims moral superiority for having killed thousands of people and one dictatorship. Again, diverse coalitions join together to make it known that "winning" a war does not justify its' root causes. Again, we wonder how the Pentagon can build a representative democracy for a people they do not know, and for whose interests they don't represent. Again, we come together as an undiferentiated mass to give lie to the administrations claim of "liberation." Liberated perhaps, but liberated only as New Years Eve kills the old year and enslaves us to the new.
