In response to nationally coordinated raids conducted by Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) and the pressing problems of immigration by more than 12 million immigrants including 1.5 million Filipinos in the U,S, the Filipino Americans for Immigration Reform (FAIR) and the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) held a Press Conference at the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) on April 26, 2008 in preparation for the May 1 Rally Immigrant Workers Day March-Rally in downtown Los Angeles. The FAIR press conference JUSTICE FOR IMMIGRANTS was well attended by different immigrant rights, youth, student,World War II veterans and community advocates. The October 27 demonstrations represented another important step forward for the anti-war movement in the United States. Over 100,000 people took to the streets in coordinated regional and local protests to demand an immediate end to the war in Iraq, including well over 10,000 in Los Angeles.

Hundred of Thousands March-Rallied in 70 cities and 33 States for Full Immigrant Rights (tags)
Today, April 10, over 125,000 people took to the streets in Los Angeles for yet another outpouring of support for the cause of immigrant rights. The Los Angeles demonstration was part of a nationwide wave of protests just in the last two days that has continued to rock at least 61 cities across the nation. Yesterday Sunday, a record 500,000 rallied to clamor for justice for immigrants in Dallas, Texas. Today, 300,000 also mobilized in Phoenix, Arizona; 200,000 demonstrated in the nation’s capital, Washington, DC; 100,000 marched and rallied in New York City; another 100,000 protested in Houston, Texas; and 25,000 in Seattle, Washington.
