For decades the Khmer Rouge regime has been exposed for its atrocities and genocides against its own people. Yet the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) nor its political arm, the National Democratic Front (NDF) nor any of its influenced and led organizations have issued any statement of condemnation. In fact in some of the statements issued by the CPP-NDF or interviews issued by its leaders, they seem to defend the Khmer Rouge.

We activist of the First Quarter Storm Network (FQSN)- USA commemorate the thirty-fourth year declaration of martial law in the Philippines that plunged the country into 14 years of dictatorship. Today, on the 34th year commemoration of martial law, we have to struggle against another tyrant who wanted to impose the same dictatorship under another label. We have to fight on! We still have to fight a war to win –the war against forgetting and revisionism. We have to wage a protracted war to remember, relive and reaffirm with our collective memories, our struggle for national democracy and the social liberation of our people.

pinahayag ni Vener Malabanan ang pakikiramay ang Pesante-USA sa mga naulila at kaanak ni Ka Teroy. Bilang isang kasama sa First Quarter Storm (FQS) ng 1970 sa Bicol kasama nina Amor Espinas, Romulo at Ruben Jallores, Bodjie Jimenez, Francisco Portem, Cezar Gavanzo, Juan Escandor, Mayor Johnson So at iba ang martir ng kilusan, isa siya sa mga nagpundar ng kilusang magsasaka sa Bicol at nagsulong ng armadong pakikibaka sa matagal na panahon.Ngunit ang tao at ang bayan ngayon ay lumalaban. Ang pagpatay sa may 225 na aktibista mula noong 2005 ay mga baga sa apoy ng pakikibaka ng masa tungo sa ganap na kalayaan at demokrasya. Ibaling ang pamimighati sa rebolusyonaryong katatagan!
