SCOTUS is Giving Us a Ride

It's been a rough few weeks in 2018.

The SCOTUS just ruled against public sector unions in the Janus decision. This will cause a steep decline in revenues for public sector unions, and make it harder to organize.

This has been a rough month with the Supreme Court.

They approved the anti-Islamic travel restrictions, despite the obvious fact that they were plainly motivated by racism and bigotry, and only crafted to fit the letter of the law.

They hobbled clinics that offer abortion, by not requiring religious pregnancy centers to disclose all options. These centers are located near clinics offering abortion, to draw away the "foot traffic" and confuse people.

Not long ago, they basically said baking and decorating a cake was a kind of "expression" for a baker at a bakery, so it was protected speech, overriding any protections for equal treatment in the marketplace.
