The River Jordan begins in Syria near Syrian Israeli border.
Rising primarily at the foot of Mount Herman and near a secondary mountain the Jordan is feed by 3 smaller streams the hashbani, th Dan and the Banias. The River Jordan flows 220 miles/355 km towards and into the Dead Sea.The northern half delineates the Jordan- Israel border.
Often mentioned in the christian Bible It was the scene of the Baptism of Jesus Christ.
