If you have an opinion about the U.S. Mexican border you would probably guess there is a challenger that most residents would rather put something in their mouth rather Unfortunately

the mamas and tias that cook are being outvoted by heroin from opium plants that bloom in the Mexican weather. The opium is being refined into something easily packaged and used by users of many nationalities especially in the "Colossus of the North" a nickname for Mexico neighbor to the north.

It doesn't take much heroin to kill you and tens of thousands of everyday people have died in Mexico's western and northern states.

The problem of addiction in the U.S. is more complex than in Mexico. The U.S. has a far bigger appetite for heroin than Mexico and has more money to pay for it.

Sad to say there are also only a few treatment centers.

Opponents of this cash crop need to id where these plants are grown and eradicate them and raise cash crops.. Mexico has a large agricultural history that is successful. The U.S. should never occupy Mexico but families are losing their loved ones and workers are being killed with a quick fix.
