Clinton Delegate Slates Infiltrate Sanders California Campaign

It has been learned that Hillary Clinton supporters have signed up to run for Sanders delegate slots and are running in groups under the name United4Bernie in some places. Sanders has not endorsed any California delegate slates.

California is expected to be the deciding state in the 2016 Democratic nomination.

Delegate selection caucuses are approaching. But it has been learned that some delegate slates calling themselves United4Bernie are actually backing Clinton. A Facebook page was put up under the name United4Bernie and many people have posted there. However neither that page nor any of the California delegate slates have been endorsed by the Sanders campaign. Caucus goers are advised to check out each of the individuals running on these slates to see if they are really for Bernie Sanders. Some of these groups may be legitimate Sanders supporters while others are not. People are encouraged to do their own research before voting. A good indicator is to find out whether these delegates supported Sanders before he announced he was running for President.

The extensive disenfranchisement of registered voters documented by the campaign as likely Sanders voters in the Sanders databases supports these concerns about Clinton infiltrators inside the volunteer operations of the campaign. In some states, Sanders supporters have gone on record to document their discovery that people putting themselves in positions of power in local areas have too often turned out to be moles.

In most cases the United4Bernie slates are clicks of friends who run as a slate in an attempt to increase their odds. With the Clinton campaign joining them in running United4Bernie slates to obtain Sanders delegate positions, Sanders supporters are advised to check out each candidate and their history before voting in the California caucuses..

Researching delegates is wise in any case but more important in campaigns that are the subject of dirty tricks from the other side. You can't go wrong with looking into the background of the delegates who will determine the nomination.
