FLOC initiated a national boycott agaisnt Campbells Soup Company and Libbys. It was reported that farmers were getting only 9% of ech dollar spent at local grocery stores while a scant 4% went to the field hands.

FLOC won the boycott, and marched to New Jersey from Toledo where they met representatives of the soup company.
