Occupy LA court house action

In the first triumphant action to come out of Occupy Los Angeles organizers led 75 protesters, about a third residents, from the city hall encampment to the Court house in Los Angeles yesterday. When they reached the steps a block away the group had grown to 125 as passers-by felt compelled to join in despite not knowing exactly why they were marching.

Trusties of the Sate of California Susan Day Hamwi and Charles Miller served California Judges for conflicts of interest pertaining to receiving bonuses for blocking pensions and forcing families from their homes. When asked why major news networks were not covering this major event Mr. Miller responded, “They refused our press releases.” Up the street news trucks for NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX were covering the Michael Jackson trial, down the street families were living in tents on skid row (not part of Occupy).

Inside the courthouse people were pleased to see Occupiers organizing citizens to the steps bringing attention to this major issue. They pulled out camera phones to recorded what is achieving cult status here in LA. When asked about what the Occupy message most people were vague about the core concepts, but supported “What [these] guys are trying to do” said Orange County resident Mitch Morgan adding, “I’m a democrat!” underscoring how confused the public still is about what is really going on.
