NICK KOLEV : A US REVISIONNIST DISGUISED UNDER A MASK OF CIVIL RIGHT ACTIVIST IN LA HAVANA
In advance, I apologize for my poor English. I hope that you will understand it.
I have decided to publish this article to bring to your attention information about a certain Nick KOLEV, US Citizen of Bulgarian origin. This person likes to define himself as a Civil Right Activist.
I met him by mischance during a touristic trip in la Havana at the beginning of March 2011. During that stay, I went to the National Department for Immigration and Foreigners (Dirección de Inmigración y Extranjería, calle 22 entre Tercera y Quinta) to get information on the way to extend my tourist visa. At the entrance of that building, I heard that Nick Kolev talking in English with a Venezuelan woman. My Spanish was so poor that I decided to get in touch with that Venezuelan woman and Nick Kolev to be sure that I was at the right place to get info about visa.
Thus, in that way, I learnt that Nick Kolev was US Citizen and came to the National Department for Immigration and Foreigner to get info on the way to apply for political asylum in Cuba. After his approach, he said me that the National Department for Immigration and Foreigner had refused to let him apply for political asylum and that because the Cuban Government has not yet ratified the International Convention about Refugees.
Then, he told me in a few minutes a complicated story concerning his brother that would have been victim of a ritual murder committed – according to him – by a jewish secret society operating in Okinawa (in Japan) where his brother was a soldier on a us military base.
He said me that following his juridical approach concerning that case, he would have been victim of discrimination from the State of California, the Company that employed him as a civil engineer.
I don't want to enter in the detail of his story to determine what is true or false in his allegations.
Once we went out of the National Department for Immigration and Foreigner, he proposed me to come to eat and drink something together.
At that moment, I didn't know yet what kind of disgusting man he was. We sat at the table of a small restaurant. He started talking about the death of his brother. He couldn't stop charging jewish people that would have been organised in a secret society committing ritual murders. Afterwards, he was talking about jewish organizations (in general) in California involved in a plot with the State of California to prevent him from working.
Then, he developed his paranoid and Anti-Semitic speech talking about jewish people always guilty of sadistic behaviours and crimes, organised according to him in secret societies that would have a substantial influence and power in the US Government (at the local and federal level), in the Russian Federation and finally all over the world.
That leitmotiv in his paranoid speech could have been said by a nazy but not by a Civil Right Activist. He showed me on his laptop a picture that he drew: a sign of equality between the star of David on the israeli flag and a svastika. Continuing his Anti-Semitic delirium, he said me proudly that he was a reader of the book of Edouard Drumont: “The Jewish France”.
I was extremely shocked when he said me that Hitler was not a so bad guy.
I replied that Hitler had notably planned the total extermination of jewish people and gipsy and had effectively murdered 6 millions of jewish people and millions of other people not because they were guilty of something but because of their birth or political opinions. His barbarian and criminal plans were already developed in his book “Mein kampf”.
He retorted me that Hitler had solved the unemployment in Germany and that there was no nazy plan of the final solution before 1943. Then, he said me that the US economy and finance was under the control of jewish lobbies following a jewish conspiracy, that jewish people were in top position in the US Government and in the Federal State and that the US Government obey to the “sionist” government of Israel.
His “way” to explain the society was that one of a nazy, trying to rationalize his paranoid and hateful speech consisting to blame all problems existing in the USA and even in the world on jewish people. In his insane mind, he considers jewish people as a whole, a community that would be unified with the same interests, that would work like an invisible army for Israel, a community totally devoted to the “Sionist” Government of Israel like he said. No contradiction inside the jewish people, no worker, no unemployed people, only rabbi, members of secret societies guilty of murders, sionist organizations and high-ranked civil servants working with jewish businessmen to rule the world with Israel.
Obviously, I was astounded, then disgusted by his speech. I quickly realized that it was unnecessary to try to convince him that a racial and Anti-Semitic “way to explain” the society was stupid, hateful, irrational and could not be relevant to understand the mechanism of the society. It seemed to be clear that the arguments developed by Nick Kolev could have been those of a militant of a extreme-right organization that has already a solid political background.
Consequently, I decided to shorten the conversation. Just before leaving, I noticed that Nick Kolev let fall a paper under the table. I took it and put it in my pocket just before taking leave.
Later, when I came back home, I realized that the paper I took was a Bank receipt of a Cuban Bank located in 264 La Rampa La Havana.
Its exact name and coordinates are Banco Metropolitano. Sucursal 264. La Rampa.

That Bank Receipt was printed on March 7th 2011 and is a juridical evidence – according to the US laws – that Nick Kolev, US citizen was in la Havana that day and had gone to that Bank to exchange 200 $.
Thanks to this juridical evidence and my testimony, we have the proves that Nick Kolev has violated US laws banning US citizen to travel to Cuba and to trade with embargoed countries.
De facto, Nick Kolev has infringed the following US laws:
- Antiterrorism and effective death penalty Act of 1996 (AEDPA) , 18 USC § 2339 B. § 2339B. Providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations.
- Cuban democracy Act of 1992 (CDA), 22 USC, § 6009 and 6010.
- Cuban liberty and democratic solidarity Act of 1996 (LIBERTAD), 22 USC §§6021-6091.
- Section 5 and 16 of the Trading with the Ennemy Act (TWEA), 50 USC App §§ 5 (Suspension of provisions relating to ally of enemy; regulation of transactions in foreign exchange of gold or silver, property transfers, vested interests, enforcement and penalties), 16 (Offenses; punishment; forfeitures of property).

Obviously, these laws of the US imperialist Government are criminal since these laws aim at punishing the Cuban people for its political choices, at destroying the Cuban Regime, but also above all the social conquests of the Cuban Revolution – social security and free health system for every Cuban citizen (and even for foreigner), subsidized prices for essential foodstuffs (bred, milk, rice, potatoes, ect…), a model of free education for the great majority of young Cuban, a costly model but an efficient model that has worked for more than five decades in a third world country despite a criminal embargo.
Despite the criminal character of these laws promulgated by the US bourgeoisie and its two main political parties – Democrat and Republican – to destroy the Cuban Model and any hope of radical change of the society, the fact remain that these laws of the Bourgeoisie exist, are entered into force and must be used if it is the only efficient juridical tool to struggle anti-Semitic and revisionist ideas.
Concretely, the Bank Receipt given to Nick Kolev should be used against him by all sincere antifascist and anti-revisionist militants to compel him to stop developing his Anti-Semitic and revisionist propaganda – under the mask of a Civil Right Activist what is more, that's the limit – by creating him a certain number of juridical problem, that is to say by requesting the strict implementation of the law.
As a conclusion, I would like to insist on the necessity to struggle against all revisionist of any kind, more particularly by using juridical weapons each time that it is possible. I think that among the readers of Indymedia USA, there will be members of Antifascist Organizations, of League against Racism and Anti-Semitism.
I encourage them to denounce the revisionist and Anti-Semitic propaganda of Nick Kolev, to unmask him to show publicly his real face: that of an anti-semitic and revisionist militant disguised under the mask of a Civil Right Activist.
I encourage all sincere antifascist militants to use the Bank Receipt I've got to force the US Ministry of Justice to sue Nick Kolev for violation of several laws.

66 years after the end of the Second World War, the memory of what was the nazy regime and the holocaust is no more so living that a few decades ago. Indeed, most of the survivors of the concentration camps and lot of protagonists of that period are dead.
That's the reason why, today more than ever, it is necessary to flush out revisionist that sometimes try to disguise oneself in Civil Right Activist by using local scandals involving sometimes a citizen of jewish origin, sometimes a free-mason among others persons charged.
Nobody is perfect and obviously criminality exists in all type of community: jewish, free-mason, white, black, ect…
Nevertheless, these kind of local scandals is regularly used by revisionists (like Nick Kolev) to do abusive generalizations concerning the whole jewish community or all free-masons, abusive and hateful generalizations that open the way to their anti-semitic and sometimes antiparliamentary and antirepublican speech.
In a general way, it is advisable to maintain the memory of the holocaust in order that these revisionist disguised in Civil Right Activists be unable to take advantage of the background of the economic crisis, always suitable to search scapegoats – in this epoch of crisis of the worker movement – to minimize then negate the Shoah and to rehabilitate a certain number of “argument” of the nazi ideology.
