Thomas Edison, John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama all had mothers who inspired them. Future car developer Alex H-R owes his fortune to the inspiration and support of his mother as well.
The best industrial design program in Orange County can be found at Santa Ana’s Art Institute. This program allows student to use their creativity to design cars, TV sets, computer systems, medical assists, and other products of use to people all around the world. The school has received design projects from major manufacturers. Some of these fields, such as auto design, are crowded, and the Art Institute helps students maneuver around the obstacles to success.
The life dream of one Orange County boy was to design automobiles. During his youth, he spent all his free time fashioning nametags and everything he could find into new designs for automobiles. This boy is known to his friends as Alex H-R. He will be part of the June 19, 2011 graduating class at Santa Ana’s Art Institute.
At private schools, students need support and funds to follow their dreams. Alex’s support and funding came mostly from a beautiful woman named Ruth, who devoted her life to making her son’s dreams come true.
Ruth and Alex did not have it easy. Ruth had to risk her life to conceive Alex. Later she was one of those mothers who was given a choice between her unborn child’s life and her own. She chose her child and managed to survive herself.
Growing up was even more difficult. Alex’s father Mark was a violent abuser who would come at Alex’s mother with knives and baseball bats as Alex watched. Ruth was often beaten bloody. She came close to escaping with Alex, but then a teacher prepared the paperwork to force Alex to take drugs for ADHD. Ruth insisted her son was normal and proved it by pulling him out to homeschool him. In doing so, she gave up any dream of going back to her career or escaping her husband.
Homeschooing worked well for Alex. Ruth was an expert in many fields. For the rest, Alex had the finest tutors and unlimited opportunities. His mother put him together with top officials in the state and national government and he was able to show off what he had done. He was given opportunities to pursue every avenue of creativity he desired. It always came back to cars for him.
The tuition for Alex was no problem. His mother had set up a large college fund after Alex’s birth. With her sound management, the funds had expanded by the time he entered the Art Institute. When she turned over the account to Alex after his 18th birthday, it included more than the cost of his tuition and expenses.
On Mothers Day, this boy has much to be grateful for. There is also tragedy. His father cut the mother’s health insurance after she was critically harmed. She has hung on to life for the last nine months but there is doubt she will survive to see her son graduate.
Ruth's friends are praying that the mother recovers and lives a long life. As graduation approaches, this special mother at least knows that her sacrifice has resulted in her son’s dreams coming true.
