An American youth full of energy and of courage it will make alone mountaineering. This is a perfect metaphor to the USA, young country and full of courage that drives his foreign policy in an unilateral way.
After several adventures, when going down a rift he makes to roll a rock that arrests his right arm. That is the equivalent metaphorical of a country that if it turns hostage of their military and imperial obligations and of the economical interests that they rotate around the Barracks.
The protagonist does of everything to liberate of the natural prison but he doesn't get because the rock is very heavy and it was arrested in the rift. The American military budget is immense and it also arrests in a relentless way the American economy limiting the taxpayers' freedom.
The occasional prisoner uses the intelligence, he rations water and food and it tries to file a saliency of the rock to loosen the hand. All know that some American rulers also tried to outline with intelligence the budget and political prison armed by the Military–Industrial Complex.
The protagonist fails. The American government also failed, so much that the American military expenses increased and they had not decreased with the end of the Cold War.
The water and the food of the hero ends and he begins to be delirious. Bush, Cheney and others believed that quickly could control Iraq and this can also be described as a delirium.
In an action of more absolute bravery the boy cuts the own arm to liberate of the natural prison. The USA still didn't cut his Army, but in some moment he will have to do this or it will be dragged for a slow and desperate economical agony exactly as the Portuguese Empire before the Carnations Revolution.
When leaving the rift the hero it implores for somebody to run in front of him. Didn't it arrive the time of the USA to abdicate of the habit of wanting to lead the other countries the whole time? The hero overcomes the trauma. Without the Army it retakes his life and it sees and it is seen by their relatives. The international community awaits the USA of open arms, since the USA stop demonstrating contempt for the other people and abandon his habit of doing everything alone.
