MANILA, Philippines—A militant group is considering filing plunder charges against Nacionalista Party standard bearer Sen. Manuel Villar for the alleged questionable practices for property development of his real estate companies as well as impeachment complaints if he is elected President.

"We are seriously considering filing plunder charges against Sen. Villar given the modus operandi of land grabbing by his companies," said lawyer Argee Guevarra of Sanlakas in a press conference Thursday.

Guevarra is also the co-counsel for Villar's former lawyer Restituto Mendoza, who detailed the supposed irregularities in the Villar group in the labor case he filed against the billionaire politician and his companies.

"Even if Manny Villar becomes President, we will hound him with impeachment complaints," Guevarra said.

Guevarra added that Mendoza was the "missing link" in the controversial C-5 road extension project which supposedly benefited Villar's companies, having been part of the legal team that drafted the contract for the project.
