STOP THE WAR, END THE SENSELESS ATTACKS ON THE AFGHAN PEOPLE.

Los Angeles--The Alliance-Philippines (AJLPP) vehemently condemned the US-NATO forces for its indiscriminate air strikes against Afghan civilians. This incidents spiked during the combined US-NATO operations against the Taliban.

Yesterday, 27 Afghan civilians were killed and 14 wounded in yet another round of NATO air strikes. Their convoy of three vehicles, which included women and children, was hit on its way to Kandahar province.

The massacre comes just a week after 12 Afghans were killed by a missile, and another five in an air strike. The US has been using drones in air strikes even in nearby Pakista that causes so much civilian collateral damges.

The Pentagon has been bragging about new rules of engagement designed to "protect civilian lives," yet more than 50 Afghan civilians have been killed by U.S./NATO forces during the past two weeks. As long as Afghanistan is under occupation, the bloodshed will continue.

AJLPP commented that the incident even forced the US puppet Karzai to condemn such air strikes that continues to terrorize civilians.

The worst, US Defense secretary Gates blamed the Taliban for using civilians as shield. A case of reverse psychology, blame the victims for being victimized, the US forces is at the end of their tether in pursuing this senseless war.

It is a repeat of the Vietnam war that recounts the US principles of “ destroying villages to rebuild new ones” Actually a losing proposition for any war.
