Witness at the scene last night reports that the occupation of Campbell Hall ended last night at about 6 pm.
Students by their own decision peacefully left the building to comply with fire and life safety issues raised by the fire marshal. It was never the students intent to compromise or endanger the public safety in any way. Fire marshal’s concerns deemed valid by student’s consensus and students released control of the building peacefully with no arrests or conflicts with police. Full students’ statement expected at some point.
