Mayor Villaraigosa attended the funeral promising to “uncover every fact,” but there is no report & the family’s lawsuit is on a shelf while Chief Bratton seeks a coroner to alter the autopsy & deny his shooters killed the innocent infant.

The Police Commissioners, appointed by the mayor, voted to approve the awards. Since Rampart, LAPD is under Federal Consent Decree jurisdiction to the U.S. Dept of Justice & Atty Genl Eric Holder, ducking a Justice Dept lawsuit for their "pattern and practice" of civil rights violations by LAPD officers.

In May 2006, U.S. District Judge Gary Feess extended the consent decree for another three years because the requirements had not been met...
