On February 19 and 20 2009, four people, Nathan Pope, Adriana Stumpo, Joseph Buddenberg, and Maryam Khajavi, were arrested by the FBI and charged with violating the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act.
They are now facing a maximum of ten years in prison for their alleged crimes of "interfering with the operations of the University of California, an animal enterprise." Their alleged crimes are: attending demonstrations and other first amendment protected activity. They will need your support as they face a long trial process to prove their innocence.
