The newly inducted officers of the United Filipino American Veterans (UFAV) for 2008-2010 were sworn–in by Rep. Lucille Roybal Allard of the 34th District last November 14, 2008 at the 3rd Floor of the Angelus Plaza , 255 N. Hill St. Los Angeles, CA 90012. The Justice for Filipino American Veterans (JFAV) congratulates the new set of UFAV officers. UFAV was organized in 1984 and was always in the forefront of the veterans equity struggle. UFAV is a member of JFAV organized in 1998.

United Filipino American Veterans (UFAV) Induction of New Set of Officers for 2008-2010

Los Angeles – The newly inducted officers of the United Filipino American Veterans (UFAV) for 2008-2010 were sworn–in by Rep. Lucille Roybal Allard of the 34th District last November 14, 2008 at the 3rd Floor of the Angelus Plaza , 255 N. Hill St. Los Angeles, CA 90012.

The Justice for Filipino American Veterans (JFAV) congratulates the new set of UFAV officers. UFAV was organized in 1984 and was always in the forefront of the veterans equity struggle. UFAV is a member of JFAV organized in 1998.

The incoming officers were led by new Commander- Atty. Pantaleon Jurado; Juan Dela Torre, Vice Commnder/Finance Officer; Azucena Alonday, Adjutant; Mila Aguirre, Asst.Adjutant; Gregorio Villanueva, PRO. Rogaciano Dagdag: Pantaleon Jurado, Judge Advocate; Auditor: and Virginia Conde and Veneranda Tan, Service Officers.

The outgoing commander was Eugenio Mondok Sr. and the advisers were former UFAV commanders, Franco Arcebal, Canuto Dayag and Eugenio Mondok Sr.

Commander Jurado made an acceptance talk. Former UFAV Commander Franco Arcebal introduced the inspirational speaker Congresswoman Lucille Roybal Allard. She pledged her continuing support for the Filipino World War II veterans.

Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon delivered her message to the Filipino community. She called on the community the Filipino World War II veterans struggle for equity and justice. Vice Consul Daniel Espiritu and Eric Sierra of the PCG Press Office was also present during the affair. The emcee was Mr. Dagdag and social dancing followed the luncheon
