L.A/So Cal's new radical marching band
will be having it's first practice.
L.A DRUMCORE are pleased to announce the
first practice and meet up of L.A/So Cal's new & possibly only radical marching band.
Sunday July 13th
2 - 4/5 p.m
Macarthur Park
Social Change Activist ?
Bored of the usual protests, shows etc.
Frustrated that there is NO big
rad marching band in L.A ??
Want to do something creative & LOUD ?
Come join us !
Musical style is Samba Batucada fused with blistering twists of Punk/Hardcore, Funk, Ska Hip Hop and more!
No musical experience necessary, all instruction provided.
You must provide your OWN marching drum/instruments.
We will show you how to make your own marching drums !
PLEASE COME even if you do not have an instrument !
Bring pots, pans & sticks - anything to bang out a tune.
Brass/horn players, dancers, puppetists we need you !
You are just as important as the drummers.
We strive to have an equal male/female balance.
Female drummers are encouraged to join.
PLEASE BRING:
Your groovy self.
Plenty of water !!
Positive ideas for what YOU would like from the band.
Musicians / high frequency earlplugs - you WILL need them.
Vegan/veggie food for a potluck if you can.
