AJLPP RALLIED PHILIPPINE CONSULATES TO FREE JOSE MARIA SISON IN CALIFORNIA

Los Angeles-- The Alliance (AJLPP-USA ) together with its allies ANSWER Coalition and Gabriela Network-USA and other groups rallied to condemn the arbitrary arrest and detention of Prof. Jose Maria Sison last August 30th in the Philippine Consulates of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The AJLPP through its national coordinator Mario Santos in San Francisco in an interview over the FIlipino Channel (TFC) "vehemently condemn the Dutch Authorities for kowtowing for the Philippine government and its master- US Imperialism in arresting Prof Sison on trumped up charges of murder in the Philippines."

The AJLPP also condemned the GESTAPO tactics of the Dutch authorities prodded by the US-Arroyo regime and its brutal raids of the NDF office in Utrehct and the homes of Prof. Sison and other eight Filipinos in the Netherlands last Aug. 28.

Picket/Rallies in Los Angeles and San Francisco

Scores of activists picketted and rallied the Philippine consulates in San Francisco and Los Angeles, a day after the Dutch police arrested Prof. Sison, the chair of the Internation League of Peoples' Struggle (ILPS) and the chief political consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).

Shouting FREE, FREE JOMA SISON! displaying their placards.scores of AJLPP, ANSWER and GABNET-USA and other soldiairty activists stayed for more than

two hours in the Wilshire Los Angeles and the Sutter St. RP Consulates.

More mass actions is slated after the first waves of protests in different world capitals for Prof. Jose Maria Sison. Mass actions were held in New York, Tokyo, Seoul, Amsterdam, Vienna, Hongkong, Sydney, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Manila.

In their fear of the masses, the Dutch Consulate closed their embassy in Makati, Philippines.
