Democrat Barack Obama spells out his foreign policy: "I will not hesitate to use force"

"Saturday, July 28, 2007 :This month’s issue of Foreign Affairs carries an essay by Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama outlining his foreign policy. Obama gets to the point early on. Noting the catastrophe in Iraq, he writes: “After thousands of lives lost and billions of dollars spent, many Americans may be tempted to turn inward and cede our leadership in world affairs.
But this is a mistake we must not make.”
The senator’s words must be seen in context. The foreign policy establishment that constitutes the key audience of Foreign Affairs generally recognizes that the debacle in Iraq represents a disaster for American military and geopolitical hegemony. In evaluating presidential candidates, these elements are looking for leaders who will not equivocate in the assertion of US primacy. Obama certainly gives them no cause for disappointment. To this end, he writes: “To see American power in terminal decline is to ignore America’s great promise and historic purpose in the world.”
How is this dominance to be preserved? Obama does not leave us in suspense: “We must use this moment both to rebuild our military and to prepare it for the missions of the future. We must retain the capacity to swiftly defeat any conventional threat to our country and our vital interests. But we must also become better prepared to put boots on the ground in order to take on foes that fight asymmetrical and highly adaptive campaigns on a global scale.” In concrete terms, Obama recommends adding 65,000 soldiers and 27,000 Marines to the standing military."

"Obama goes on to recommend that the military capability economized in his “pullout” from Iraq be used elsewhere in the region, including in support of Israel: “Our starting point must always be a clear and strong commitment to the security of Israel, our strongest ally in the region and its only established democracy. That commitment is all the more important as we contend with growing threats in the region—a strengthened Iran, a chaotic Iraq, the resurgence of Al Qaeda, the reinvigoration of Hamas and Hezbollah. Now more than ever, we must strive to secure a lasting settlement of the conflict with two states living side by side in peace and security. To do so, we must help the Israelis identify and strengthen those partners who are truly committed to peace, while isolating those who seek conflict and instability.”
As is obvious from the above passages, Obama is not an “antiwar” candidate by any stretch of the word. What is most striking about the article is the degree of similarity between the theoretical, political and even rhetorical underpinnings of Obama’s foreign policy and that of the Bush administration."
For ANY African-american in the U.S. to openly call Zionist Israel's apartheid system an "established democracy" brings new meaning to the term "Uncle Tom", how can Obama ignore the brutal reality of daily apartheid faced by the Palestinian people in Israel's occupied territories? Does the apartheid wall/fence around Palestinian occupied territories not bear some resemblence to the barbed wire fences of apartheid South Africa? What happened to solidarity with oppressed people living under another apartheid regime, even if they are a well funded Zionist regime willing to donate money (via AIPAC, CUFI, etc..) to eager politicians in the U.S.?? What's Obama's problem with Hezbollah, they have far more popular support in their home country of Lebanon than do ANY of these phony-ass U.S. politicians (including Uncle Obama) here in occupied North America!!
Then the continued verbal attacks by Obama against Iran adds evidence to the claims that the USA is a two-party imperialist dictatorship, anyone who runs for public office under either Democrat or Republican party backing must tow the line of U.S. military dominance here and overseas. Any deviation from this platform of global U.S. militarism will result in candidate being excluded from the public debate forum, or join the third party (Green, Libertarian, Peace & Freedom, etc..) status of shouting over riot police with a megaphone outside of the convention..
Now that GW Bush has expressed intent to "arm Saudi Arabia" with U.S. made military weapons against Iran the softer tone of Obama's "warnings" against Iran sounds like amuch desired lesser evilism. Of course it is a REALLY, REALLY BAD IDEA to provide the Saudi Royal Family with ANY military weapons, we're only opening the door for another 9/11 and resulting "Patriot ACT III & IV" after the flying airlines part 2 comes to north america, this time with our weapons in tow. Or we can watch the Saudi military duke it out with the Iranians from the comfort of our own living rooms. Maybe then the GW Bush/Cheney regime can suspend the public elections under martial law, lock ANY dissidents up in FEMA (Dept. of Homeland Security) camps, where we'll be drying our tears with stale GMO bread and wishing we only had the kinder, gentler version of US facist imperialism under Uncle Obama, EH??

"Far from opposing the Bush administration, leading Democrat contenders are queuing up to prove their tough credentials on Iran. In an article entitled “US lawmakers unite to demonise Iran”, the Asia Times website reported the written statements of support sent by Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama to a press conference of a pro-Zionist lobby group, The Israel Project (TIP), last Thursday.
Obama, who recently introduced the Iran Sanctions Enabling Act to impose stiffer measures against Iran, declared that “allowing Iran, a radical theocracy that supports terrorism and openly threatens its neighbours to acquire nuclear weapons is a risk we cannot take”. Not to be outdone, Clinton, who is pushing her own anti-Iranian legislation, condemned Iran, saying: “We cannot permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons. We must not let go unanswered its state sponsorship of terrorism.”
There is no more evidence that Iran is building nuclear weapons than supporting anti-US insurgents in Iraq. Behind the unanimity in the American political establishment over taking more aggressive action against Iran lie the same strategic and economic interests that drove the criminal invasion and occupation of Iraq. Whatever the tactical differences, there is broad agreement in US ruling circles that the US must establish its predominance over its European and Asian rivals in the resource-rich regions of the Middle East and Central Asia."

In that case, nothing personal against Obama, or whomever else attempts to take the reigns of the U.S. military industrial state in 2008, they should plan on a large scale insurrection in North America if this imperialist military occupation continues..
It would also be advisable to guard the plentiful U.S. nuclear weapons caches, the U.S. nuclear weapons scientists and other engineers of the planned nuclear holocaust in the Middle East. Plan on increasing actions against U.S. military facilities in the north american continent (US on stolen land!!), it would be advised to close up shop at the Nevada Test Site and restore this stolen land, return this stolen land to the Western Shoshone nation as agreed upon by the Treaty of Ruby Valley that recognizes this land occupied by NTS belongs to the Western Shoshone nation. The U.S. military does not belong on this occupied land and will eventually be removed. We ALL prefer this removal of the U.S. military from Newe Sogobia to be voluntary and non-violent, we sure don't want any civil strife in the highly radioactive great basin region..
