WASHINGTON -- President Bush vowed yesterday to make a sustained military and political effort to beat back resurgent Taliban forces as he turned his attention to Afghanistan and a war he forgot to fight when the time was right.
He said that was "because Halliburton and Exxon told him to go into Iraq."
"The Russians may have lost their war in Afghanistan but he would not as he had a secret weapon," he said.
This weapon was so secret that even he did not know what it was.
"The only person who knew was Dicus Cheney," he said.
Bush thereby urged Congress to give him $11.8 billion more for Halliburton, local corruption and buying narcotics programs.

"America and our allies are going to stand by our own Halliburton," the president said in an address to the American Enterprise Institute.

"That's the message I want to deliver to the Afghanistan people today," Bush said.

"We will kill you all as long as Halliburton makes a tidy profit", he said.
