Lisa Cantu is the sister of Ronn Cantu, a US Army Sergeant currently serving in Iraq. Ronn is part of the growing number of soldiers in Iraq speaking out against the war and joining the call for “Troops Home Now”. Latest polls of the troops from Military Times indicate that less than half the troops serving in Iraq feel the war is justified.

While Ronn Cantu is open about his opposition to the war and maintains a blog for soldiers to speak out on, soldiervoices.net, most soldiers are reluctant to voice their opposition to the war for fear of reprisal from their commanding officers. But when off duty and with their families most soldiers express doubts about the reasons given for war.

Because members of the armed forces do not have the same civil rights as civilians, organizations like Military Families Speak Out have been formed to give them a voice. Uploaded is an interview with Lisa Cantu, Ronn’s sister and a member of Military Families Speak Out.
