State of the State Address. What's missing from it?

Governeor of California gives his address...

Governor of California just gave his State of the State address. Instead of focusing on all that one may or may not agree with, I want to point out one issue: Arts & Culture.

The number one issue the Governor talked about in his speech was prison overcrowding, and he went down the line to healthcare. All obvious problems that need attention and "action". But again it was proven that arts and culture have no place in the politician’s agenda. In effect we are being told yet once again that arts & culture do not matter in our daily lives at the present, or in the future! At a time when US government is setting its sight on building a permanent station on the moon at the cost of Billions of Dollars coming out of our pockets, no politician lifts a finger to help our impoverished cultural organizations that have been dropping like flies for the last few years. Instead we are told that in order to keep up with the future we must build more prisons!
