Today about 200-300 people joined the Bus Riders Union outside City Hall to protest the rightward slide of Villaraigosa and demand that he fulfill his promises to people of color, working people, and progressive community in Los Angeles. Audio from the protest is attached to this story. The Bus Riders Union demands that Villaraigosa invest more in public transportation. They demand a thousand more buses, a thousand less police, and a bus only lane to the sea!
