My update from South Central Farm

I am writing at this late hour after having come back from South Central Farm to show my support. I have spent the last couple hours in one of the most beautiful places. I have longed in my life to feel a sense of strong community and even though I have gone through periods of this in my lifetime, I have never had it fulfilled until the last couple days of standing in support with the farmers. For those of you who have not gone out or cannot because you are reading this in another state or possibly another country, it is and has become the community that we all dream of living in. Where life is the central focus. Life through the land we walk on. Life through the plants, flowers and trees that grow. Life through the people that work the land and live in the surrounding areas. Life to the supporters who come there everyday and the people who stay the night. A place where there is such a love of land and people merge to such a hightened extent. I have not felt such love of life and in my own - not like this.

I am writing to EVERYONE WHO READS THIS TO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SUPPORT THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE. It is located in a very industrial area and to see such beauty in this area is such a beautiful sight. We ALL can either fight for this life and lives of those who work the farm, or we can allow a developer to rip life away and build what is to be a another taker of life - Walmart.

For those of you who have been at vigils every week, marched in the streets against wars, oppression, attacks on womens rights, immigrant rights, environmental rights - we need you. For all the things that we have fought for in the past are the same things the South Central Farmers are fighting for now. The right to protect their plots - the right to feed their families and the families in their communities. If you live in LA, San Diego, Santa Barbara - where ever it is PLEASE come down tomorrow to 41st & Alameda to show your support. And PLEASE DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN TO www.southcentralfarmers.org. I promise you coming down and showing your support will more than change your life. It will inspire you and you will be filled with some much love that you will have a sense of empowerment that you have never known.

Come out tomorrow or donate whatever you can. We can SAVE this! We have to!
