Don't know how true it is, considering how the media tends to portray these things. The article doesn't state if they were us, or goons, or both.

I believe the police arrested one of the goons who tried to come over to our side before the march even began. My husband and I arrived at about 10:30 this morning, and the goons were already gathering and had tied down an American flag and hoisted theirs... Nothing intelligent was said on their part- a lot of expletives and middle fingers- plus cries of rascism. I took a lot of pictures and now I'm working on uploading them to photo bucket and will post the links in the thread about the march.

It was a goon who was arrested.
He kept cursing at the police and at us.
We all cheered when he was led away in handcuffs!!!
It was so great marching in OUR STREETS with Jim and Ted hayes!!!
Our side took lots of photos and vids!!!
I am looking forward to seeing them!!

Hi, just walked in the door getting back from the rally. Any stories on the media which say that there was any kind of melee there is BS. I was there, and the only agressive protesters were on the pro illegal side. Eggs were thrown by them into the street at us, and I saw the police rush to the area where one egg was thrown from, but saw no body detained. Old Preach got hit with an egg, he was pretty pissed but there was no shoving there either, from what I saw. By the way folks, we were maybe 70 and they were maybe 2-3 hundred. And we were difinitley in their turf. We can use a lot more folks out there. The police did a great job of keeping the peace, as far as I could see. I got to meet a few people from the blogs. Political Dream is a delightful lady, who can stir up a crowd with her speech making skills. I met SS187 aka the Rock, and apologized for the grief I gave him when he first started posting on the blogs. He is the real deal, one hell of a volunteer. Met Jim Gilchrist, regular guy, and not a PC career politician. You people reading this, I cannot stress enough how important it is to make an effort to show at the rallys. Large numbers will only serve to influence the fence sitters still out there to finally commit to the right cause. The behavior, language, and Communist signage that the opposition exibited was thouroghly disgusting. Not one American Flag was displayed by them, they have zero allegiance to our country. I just hope that the media covering this portrays both sides, as the Mechistas were totally outclassed by the behavior of American Citizens and Patriots.

Protesters interrupted a rally organized by homeless activist Ted Hayes, Minuteman Project members and Save Our State at Broadway and Olympic Boulevard.

Originally 50 officers were called in for the protest, however more were called in to deal with the two crowds, which grew increasingly hostile towards each other.

"I thought something was going to happen," said a nervous Cruz Yax, 40, of Hollywood, who was shopping downtown but got caught up in the fray. "I tried to go over there but I couldn't," she said, gesturing away from Broadway.

As I was driving back from the rally I heard on the news about an arrest due to a confrontation and I was quite confused and pissed off at our news media. I don't remember any CONFRONTATION. The PATRIOT AMERICANS were busy listening to the wonderful speeches and singing. I was aware that the counter protesters were there, but what was going on on our side was far more interesting and inspiring. I just hate the way the media spins things. I'll write more later; totally exhausted.

Again, I will state that I was there, and unless something went down after I left, there was no melee. SOS and MM marchers were extremely well mannered. Which in my mind made us all saints in comparison to vile mass of hate pointed at us. Fantasies roiled in my head with regard to what I would have liked to see happen to that festering pile of scum. Banners and flags screaming for socialism, and communism abounded. All this on the streets of one of the largest cities in America. The route we walked was in the middle of their turf, a turf they should never been allowed to inhabit and turn into the cesspool it has become.

The police arrested at least one person that I saw, across the street from city hall. I don't know why, but I do know it was one of them, not one of us.
