Militant high school students ignore lockdown order, rally against fascist-like immigration legislation.
A large rally of hundreds of high school students is taking place right now at the Long Beach City Plaza - right outside the City Hall and Library. Cops in riot gear are standing by and the library is closed down because of the alleged threat, but all is peaceful, though spirited. Speeches, chants and cheering fill the air. Let's hope the violence-prone Long Beach Police don't screw things up.
