SUMMER OF FREE SPEECH ON VENICE BEACH

Rumor has it that this summer has officially been declared the "SUMMER OF FREE SPEECH" on Venice Beach. Why? Perhaps because the L.A. City Council's new LAMC 42.15 ordinance pushes the envelope on 1st Amendment vile-ations perpetrated by themselves with the help of the City Attorney's office.

Rumor has it that a call has gone out to free speech activists across the country to come to Venice Beach this summer, starting as early as March 1st, to stand up for free speech in the Free Speech Zone on the west side of Venice Boardwalk. L.A. City is gearing up to enforce the ordinance but they overlooked the fact that it violates both the United States and the California Constitutions. It will be interesting to see who responds to the call and how the city will deal with several hundred activists hanging out on Venice Boardwalk this summer!
