The racism is a common place in European society. Nothing has been done to create a friendly society where immigrants can enjoy peace of mind and the benefits of growing European economy.

Still Western reporters are not reporting the causes of the recent rebellion by the French born youth of African and Muslim parents. In a planned strategy, France placed the immigrants in the so called suburbs of Paris and other major cities of France. France needed these immigrants to fuel the French industrial engine after the 2nd World War. At the same time, the leaders didn't want the immigrants to become visible in the society. Out of side out of mind!

The racism is a common place in European society. Nothing has been done to create a friendly society where immigrants can enjoy peace of mind and the benefits of growing European economy. These immigrants gave birth to a new generation. Who lack proper education, job opportunities and a equal place in the society. Mandatory education also passed these children of immigrants. The schools were not interested to teach them to become a responsible members of the society, but just to push them out of school system as fast as they can.

Immigrants in France faced lots of hardship including equal opportunity in housing, education and employment. They also face difficulty with transportation. In a land of a great public transportation system, the immigrants do not enjoy it. They can get to the centers of industry to slave themselves; however, they cannot go from one ghetto to another unless they own a personal car. This is one of the reasons behind torching of automobiles in present uprising. Every immigrant must carry legal documentations. Persons of darker skin are routinely stopped at check points to verify their papers. This was the reason that two youth were running away from the Police because the youth are not concerned to carry papers with them. No one can condone violence. French after all should understand it from their own history.

French government official including President Chirac threatening severe punishment to those who are involved in recent violence. As a leader of a great nation, he should look at the causes behind these riots and punish those who have done nothing to provide the same opportunities as a white French man and woman enjoys every day. Simulation in the French culture is not the answer. When one has invited an immigrant population of different cultures, religions and civilization. The answer does not lie in forced simulation like by banning Hijab. The answer lies in the diversity of the nation and acceptation of other people. Diversity will make France a great nation.

Poverty is becoming a way of life in France for many of these immigrants as there are no programs to training, development and helping to find jobs. Social programs have been abandoned in recent years. As you get of a train in any city or its suburb, you will find women of African and Muslim background begging. Homelessness is also visible. Men are seen begging in the mosques after prayers.

Conditions are similar in other colonial powers of the Europe. Immigrants are facing the same problems in Belgium. Now reports of rebellion are trickling down from Belgium. I just returned from Belgium from a brief visit and I can personally testify to the conditions faced by the immigrants.
