As their previously controlled cartel of information sources through wealth, errode due to their now obvious role as government spokespersons and the power to buy off the leaders of change, challenged by this very same information mechanism which encourages collective review, we see the enemy, in desperation stoke the fires of public perception to prepare them for a martial template and the elimination of this pesky free speech thing. You could say this public medium is a Wildfire they have to rip out.
They need a good excuse to do it and since they seem to know everything about these terror events and terrorists ( real, or more often, fabricated ) one would only assume this is of course logical.
The troll tactics really haven't worked that well despite the effort put into it. Open review is beautiful that way even if huge amounts of garbage is thrown over it.
One would only need to review the thousands of riech wing posts that advocate murder to see the distance between us which again only serves to show in open forum, the level of sickness we are going to deal with in the real world if we ever let them get away with another 'Act of War'.
This distance is a product of eroding social fabrics that now verge upon busting as the reality of their crimes against our world become known. They are not intelligent enough to back down because, like a heroin addict, they have to have everything even if it's the last thing living left on earth.
