The game has ended as Lebron leaves Perkin's Park ,and shots rang out. People in the park jump when they hear the gun shots. I witness in my front yard the beginning of that gun play. For some reason I walked out side my house around 12:40am.

A hot and sunny ordinary day that Friday afternoon July 15Th/05, as the demonstration would start soon in Akron Ohio's west side on Diagonal,Rd.
I had stayed up half the night getting my signs ready. I had stayed up pass 3:00am paintting a giant of a Tarp measured 11ft4in x 15ft6in.
I called it the beast. This tarp is a blue pastic monster, on which I had painted "LET MY PEOPLE GO" taken from the bible scripture
EXODUS 5:1 where Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, "Let my people go",. I had also painted a graphic
symbol` of a red circle slash going across the Nike logo meaning "No NIKE". Later I would add "Lebron, "The wages of sin is Death".
I didn't want to put up my signs too early because I awoke around 9:30am and the Nike's and LeBron James ceremony to dedicate the court would start at 12:00 noon. I didn't want the Director of Ed Davis community center Jarry Rollens to be tipped off
to my unveiling of my signs. Jarry had came over with some Cop to my home on Wednesday that same week. I sew them walking over from my bathroom window which faces towards the back yard and the park across the
street and something told me that they were headed to my house. Sure enough they were a coming to talk to me. Before they could get to my door. I open my
window enough to say, "what you want"? Jerry with his black southern draw said " I brought the POLL-ice to talk to you about if we can help you".
I thought he must be crazy. I had written a letter to his boss Greg Kalail the Director of Parks & Recreation to tell him to relocate the event to Mason Park which is located in downtown Akron.
Greg Kalail called me in late May of this year, to which he said "Mason park was not an option and Construction would soon to start to build a new educational center and the basket ball courts would be resurfaced with black top and
would not be completed in time".
Jerry and the cop kept on a asking me if I needed any help. What help they meant, they didn't explain it to me, but I said "I needed no help from them, and what about my letter I sent to them, that had been
refused"? The Cop asked Jerry "what letter"? Jerry said nervously, "The letter my boss has". The Cop asks me again if I need their help and I said "No" and I shut the window. They left my front yard.
It's now, going on 11:00AM an hour before the ceremony and Greg Coleridge from the American Friends Service Committee they're an activist group. Greg promised he would be at my house to help. I greeted him at the door and I walk with him to my yard that face
towards the part where the Cops were already had blocked Perkin's Park ,Rd. He said to me "look, they're (the Cops) already giving her trouble".
I said who getting the trouble, which he replied Mrs. Caid.I Looked over to the cornor of Perkin's Park ,Rd & Diagonal Rd and sew an Olive skinned woman with brownish braids in her hair. She was of average height arguing with a cop.
She had come with her 80 year old mother and 15 year old Daughter. I said to myself , "Oh my God", she'll spoil my surprise.
It's 11:00Am and I wanted to unveil my signs at 12:00 noon when the dedication starts. Mrs. Caid wanted to burn a pair of Nikes on that street corner
and the cops woulden let her. I wanted to quiet her down, so I told her she could burn her Nikes in my yard.
She didn't quiet down after she walked in my yard. She started yelling at all the Officials who came to dedicate the court. I was really happy that she showed up, because we really needed her to shout out the plain truth about Nikes slave wages.
She shouted out about how Nike in Vietnam and China had factories in which labor laws are poorly enforced and cheap labor is abundant. There's no Union in China or Vietnam. She said stuff about how Lebron grew up in the Spring Hills Projects, with his mom, and
asked the question, "If Nike, had still came to those same projects apartments to help him and his mother while they were still living there?
Greg pulled out his bullhorn and told Mrs. Caid to use this to shout louder.
Mrs. Caid took the bull by the horns and had every ones attention. She was so good, that the Cops made her shut up. Mayor Don Plusquellic was at the mic, he was embarrassed.
One black Cops in uniform came over to tell her that she would be arrested if she kept using the bull horn. They said she could use her own voice to shut out her protest.
At, that time, Greg asked me if he could use my phone, and I said sure. I asked why he need the phone and he said he's calling a friend, an Attorney to ask him was it illegal to use a bull- horn.
His friend was not in his office so he called another attorney who said it was okay as long a you're not as you're not a nuisance.
We go back out side and told her to let it rip. She took the PA and started back where she left off. I was waiting with my video camera for that Cop to show his face again
and sure enough he returned like Godzilla walking towards Tokyo. The Cop said ,"you better stop now or I'll take you to jail. She shout ted out, "hey everybody
this Cop over here wants to arrest me for using my freedom of speech". I'm a 50 year old mother of two girls and never been arrested or trouble with the law
and now they want to put me in jail because I'm using a PA to talk about Nike's slave labor.
The Cop kept saying, I've told you not to use that thing again and this is your last warning so put it down now.
I said "leave her alone". We've talk to an attorney by phone and he said she has every right to use the device. He returned by saying, "No it's Illegal to
use it in public. Greg said out loud, Akron's city law makes it illegal to use a bullhorn in public"? Come on I've used these things before at other
demonstrations and never had this kind of trouble. The Cop said the City of Akron don't allow it.
Mrs. Caid ended using the bullhorn and went back to using her own voice.
We all started to shut out loud using our own voices after that. We were mad as hell. I even got on my garage roof top and yelled at the top of my voice,
like "NIke's, slave, Nike's slave, Nike's sell out, and "Don't vote for Mayor Don Pluaqullic, he's a drunk and corrupt".
The fun part came when LeBron James showed up for the ceremony. Hey, like they say in the hood, "it was on", so Mrs. Caid let him have it.
Lebron Caddy SUV had parked adjacent from my yard which only was 20 - 30 feet alway, so you know Mrs. Caid's voice travel that distance easily to be
heard by Lebron, and for some reason you had to change his shirt in front of his SUV so Mrs. Caid let him have it with full force.
She asked him, "why you letting Nike make all this money off the poor in Vietnam, China, and you were once poor yourself"?
How would you like it, if your moma had worked in a sweat shop trying to put food on your table and put a roof over your head, huh",?
We knew Lebron heard every word she said and he would not look up towards her. Lebron just went on changing his shirt in the parking lot not
saying a word in response.
Lebron got on his shirt and walked away ignoring Mrs. Caid and the group.
We had shoutted out so loud that, the Mayor had a big Semi truck park right in front of us and told the driver to leave the engine hood up
to drown out our yelling and stouting. The ceremony ends soon after the truck parks in front of us.

Sunday night July 17Th and we have the big game with New York and Chicago, but before the game is to start Lebron arrives with his posse's
a Rapper T i from GA. The Rapper starts the show and the crowd starts to sing and cheer. After an hour of rap performance the game between
New York and Chicago be gains. M TV is here to film the event. New york wins over Chicago 85 to 70 score.
The game has ended as Lebron leaves Perkin's Park, and shots rang out. People in the park jump when they hear the gun shots.
I witness in my front yard the beginning of that gun play. For some reason I walked out side my house around 12:40am. to see a large crowd
a gathering and I feel something wrong with the crowd, after a few second pass as a teenage girl runs from the crowd. It happen
that two white male cops are approaching from Diagonal Rd to Madson .st. They meet the teenage girl and she out of breath, but she gasps out
"HE GOT A GUN". The White cops look back and ask "How do you know he got a gun? Few seconds later pow, pow, pow, pow , the crowd stampede towards the to white cops.
They Cops are frozen with fright with guns drawn. Where I'm standing I can see the sparks from the one gunman in a neighbor's backyard with a crowd around him.
After he finishes off his round, then another picks up where he left off. I heard to my right from the same street and same location
another gunman picks up where the second left off.
The teenage girl who told the two cops, then run into my front yard hiding behind a bush. I found her there after I left my house and went outside.
I said to her, "are you okay" She said back to me, "How stupid can the cops can be, when you tell
them he got a gun, and they ask me how do i know"?
The cops got everyone out of there and blocked off the street. Ambulance came
took away Jewel Walker, 16, the bullet went in her foot. She was an innocent
bystander of a fight that broke out police say.
City Safety Deputy Mayor George Romoski said, the Lebron James foundation had full control over the
event. The city didn't know how large the event would be. He said they found out about the 5000 people that maybe there about the same week of the event.
Romoski said the Lebron camp didn't have enough traffic cops to do the job right.
He also states that the city had problems with Lebron's kids foundation's bike ride." Not enough traffic cops and no water for the kids to drink after the long bike run".

The ceremony to dedicate the court was by invitation only and meant the public could not attend with out an
invitation, so the City allowed Lebron James to take over a public city park
that was meant for the public and the community to enjoy. LeBron you really
didn't let the people who live around the park to come and be apart of the
dedications , but his rich friends had no problems driving up to the park's parking lot, and the cops let them in and kept us poor people out.
