China fur video

If you haven't seen yet fur investigation done by EAST and SPS in

China, I give you these links :

East : http://myweb.hinet.net/home16/east-tw/fur.wmv (a mirror I

think) or http://www.east.org.tw/16/fur.wmv

SPS (PSA) : http://www.tierschutz.com/main/aktuell/pelz/movie.htm

Videos are not exactly the same. The first one (from EAST) is the most

shocking.

Every year millions of cats and dogs are tortured and skinned alive in full

view of other animals for their skin.

Dog and cat fur, when dyed, is not easily distinguishable from fox, rabbit,

coyote, wolf or mink fur. Since dog and cat fur is usually less expensive

than furs from many other species, there is a financial incentive for

traders and importers to engage in unethical and fraudulent practices. Many

of the pelts are intentionally mislabelled as fictional creatures such as

Asian Jackal and Gaewolf or are labelled simply as 'animal by-products'.

They are sold as coats, rugs, stoles, accessories and novelty toys in high

street shops to unsuspecting consumers.
