The standards that flight attendants fought so hard to attain have been eroding for over a decade. Now some airlines are trying to use the bankruptcy courts to tear apart the flight attendants contracts but the

flight attendants' through their union are fighting back threatening a nationwide strike unless their demands are met. Ms. Tamuk spoke at a Conference on the Future of the Labor Movement organized by

Queen College Labor Resource Center.

Pres Bush's plan to attack social security by creating private acounts will not only further shred the safety net for the next generation but will create a
