BEMUSED - TO HAVE A CANDID CRITIQUE NOW TO REMIND ME - AND THOSE WITH THE INTEREST AND CURIOSITY TO INQUIRE - WHAT THE FXXX IS THE USA DOING IN IRAQ - WHAT MADNESS DRIVES THIS FOLLY?
We hear the snake-oil, slogans and spin - Our mission is a crusade - a war against terrorism - defense of America - "reliable intelligence" has alerted us to the likely intent of those dedicated to terror - to initiate activities - that could become a growing threat - and therefore prudence dictates we must "act" - can't wait for the mushroom cloud - we chose pre-emptive war against Iraq - (slam-dunk, shock and awe, high tech - on the cheap) to show the world - "the street", elites, puppets all, the power and "values" that America can use to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people - to give them the gift of democracy and freedom - an example to all of the middle east - and to the world!
Gregg Palast - Znet Oct 27 "Adventure Capitalism" reminds us in a short article of "The (USA) Iraq Strategy" including a highly detailed plan for re-structuring the Iraq economy for a "take over" by US corporate interests - including "privatization" of the oil industry!
This strategy imposed by our designated "agent" Paul Bremer is described in some detail in a scholarly article in the September Harpers Magazine by Naomi Klein appropriately titled " Baghdad Year Zero: Pillaging Iraq in Pursuit of Neocon Utopia".

The Bush Neocon-Cabal power elite with collaboration of the USA military establishment, financial and corporate elite that have a vision of gain from the policy underway, appear to be "hooked' on their dissembling spin, quite divorced from the reality of "blowback", growing outrage for the USA occupancy, arrogance, disconnect from history, culture, and multiple secular, religious, military, and "traditional" venues and relationships waved aside with the expectation they would all "fall in line".
The November election provides an opportunity to begin a re-evaluation of our strategy and polices underway, totally counter-productive, in fact creating world wide animosities against America, inspiring recruits for terrorism, the Neocon-Cabal unable to admit error.
