Now that the U.S. Invasion/Occupation of Iraq has turned into "Operation Enduring Failure," it is fashionable to say that the Bush League Neo-cons' pre-War predictions have all turned sour. But you'd be dead wrong.
Before the War on Iraq, the oil-soaked Neo-cons have promised 3 major results from the(illegal) Invasion: A) Shock-and-Awe, B) finding WMDs(weapons of mass destruction), and C) Regime Change. Contrary to popular belief, all 3 results have occurred. Let's review the specifics:
Just months after U.S. invaders took over Baghdad, Progressives were apparently shocked and awed by 2 amazing episodes of BUSH-ido, the American "W"ay of Imperial War. First, the architect of the Iraq invasion, Paul "woeful-wits," on a November, 2003 visit to Baghdad, had to run out from his hotel room in pajamas, after the Iraqi resistance had the ingenuity to use the low-tech weapon of a donkey cart to fire off rockets onto the hotel where Occupation officers were staying. Later in the same month, Peace activists were even more shocked when the details of the "Midnight Cowboy Did Baghdad" episode came out. In that Karl Rove publicity stunt, W the self-dubbed "liberator of Iraq" had to sneak into Baghdad Airport in the middle of the night(to avoid being greeted properly with RPGs by "unliberated" Iraqis), to serve up a fake turkey to the Invasion troops on "Thanksgiving" Day 2003.
As to the question of WMDs, who says that no WMDs have been found inside Iraq? Truth of the matter is, thousands & thousands of WMDs have been found throughout Iraq. But all of the WMDs are made in the USA--such as the Daisy Cutter cluster bombs, or the 1,000 lb thermo-baric bunker busters. And especially the tons & tons of DU depleted uranium munitions fired by U.S. tanks & warplanes. At the same time, the U.S. government and its "corporate-bin-Laden" media allies have deployed WMDs domestically as well. These were the propaganda Weapons of Mass Deception & Distortion put out by FOX, CNN and other mass-hypnosis broadcast networks, in a thinly-veiled attempt to sell an immoral & illegal War of Aggression to the large factually-challenged American public.
Thirdly, while the jury's still out on the governmental changes across the Globe, Regime Change has already taken place in Spain. There, an educated & active citizenry voted decisively to oust a reactionary leader who took his country to War, despite the overwhelming desire of Spanish voters to stay away from supporting U.S. Aggression.
So who says that the Neo-cons could not accurately predict the future?
